In her two episodes on ITV’s The Masked Singer so far, The Octopus has wowed judges and viewers alike – not that anyone can agree on who the the disguised character really is.
However, new clues given in episode four point in a new direction entirely – that of singer and actress, Bonnie Anderson.
Before we get into why Anderson could be behind the mask, here is some insight into her career.
Who is bonnie anderson?
Anderson is an Australian singer, who won the first series of Australia’s Got Talent in 2007, when she was 12. In 2018, Anderson joined popular soap opera Neighbours as the character Bea Nilsson.
why could she be octopus?
One of the new clues was a picture of Jason Donovan, a famed former star of Neighbours.
Her Neighbours character Bea is an apprentice mechanic, which would explain the words ‘The Apprentice’ making an appearance during the clue video.
Being a professional singer and winner of a televised singing competition, Anderson clearly has singing chops much like Octopus does.
In August 2019, Anderson appeared in Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions which, like The Masked Singer, is also aired on ITV. This would make it easier to potentially contact Anderson as a working relationship is already in place.
Of course, this is all speculation and we won’t truly know who is Octopus until they are revealed, whether it’s Anderson or someone else entirely.
