God Friended Me concluded its two season run on April 26 and with this ending, the show bid farewell to the main characters – Miles, Cara, Rakesh, Ali, Arthur and Trish.
While Miles will no longer be around, the actor who played him, Brandon Micheal Hall, will continue on his career which includes resuming his role as Julian on Search Party.
You may have grown to love Miles Finer throughout God Friended Me. Unless you know him in real life, Brandon Micheal Hall is surely a mystery to you.
Read on to find out more behind God Friended Me’s star.
Although Miles Finer was born and raised in New York City, Hall himself hails from Anderson, South Carolina. His birthday is February 3, 1993.
Like Miles, Hall is also the child of a preacher, his mother, unlike Miles’ situation where his father is the religious official.
For his acting training, Hall studied at the prestigious Julliard School, graduating in 2015 with a BFA in drama. Their alumni also includes Val Kilmer, Oscar Isaac, Christopher Reeve, Patti LuPone, Tim Blake Nelson and Elizabeth McGovern, among many others.
As alluded to earlier, Hall had starred on two other television series prior to landing the role of Miles on God Friended Me.
He plays Julian Marcus, a journalist, on the dark comedy series Search Party, starring alongside Arrested Development‘s Alia Shawkat and Stranger Things guest star John Reynolds.
This show was recently renewed for its third and fourth seasons, set to air on HBO Max.
Hall also played rapper-turned-mayor Courtney Rose on the ABC sitcom The Mayor before that show’s cancellation in 2018.
His co-stars on The Mayor included Glee star Lea Michele (Rachel Berry) who played Val Barella, a former classmate of Courtney’s as well as Drake and Josh/Community actress Yvette Nicole Brown (Helen/Shirley) as Dina, Courtney’s mother.
Now that Hall’s time playing Miles has come to an end, what he does next (aside from Search Party) remains to be seen.
