SPIDER-MAN OUT OF THE MCU; How does it affect overall universe?

As per Deadline, it was announced that Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige will have no further involvement in future live action Spider-Man films as a result of Disney and Sony being unable to reach new terms.

With this news, the character of Peter Parker/Spider Man (Tom Holland) is out of the MCU and under the exclusive control of Sony. A spokesperson for Sony commented, “… We are disappointed, but respect Disney’s decision not to have him continue as a lead producer of our next live action Spider-Man film.”

Much like the previous Spider-Man iterations starring Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, the current Spider-Man is now separate from the other Marvel superheroes such as Captain America, Thor and Black Panther, to name just a few.

This is very disappointing for the countless Marvel fans around the world, who waited years for Spider-Man to “come home” to Marvel. Especially in the wake of X-Men and Fantastic Four being acquired, the lack of a Spidey crossover is a huge loss.

In the hours since the news broke, Metro has reported that irate fans have started petitions to keep Spider-Man in the wider MCU.

‘bond 25’ title, cast and release date confirmed

The title of ‘Bond 25’ – the twenty-fifth instalment in the James Bond film franchise was confirmed today as No Time to Die. ‘Die’ is a familiar word in Bond titles such as Live and Let Die and Tomorrow Never Dies.

Additionally, it was announced that the film will be released on April 3, 2020 in the UK and five days later, on April 8, in the US.

Joining a returning Daniel Craig as Bond is an ensemble cast which includes recent Oscar winner Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody), Lea Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Billy Magnussen, Jeffrey Wright and Ralph Fiennes.

‘MORTAL KOMBAT’ Movie casts lead roles (exclusive)

Hollywood Reporter announced Friday that a ‘fistful’ of names had joined the cast of New Line’s upcoming Mortal Kombat film based on the video game series of the same name.

Mechad Brooks, soon to exit his role as Jimmy Olsen on CW’s Supergirl, Ludi Lin from 2017’s Power Rangers and Thor: Ragnarok actor Tadanobu Asano are among the new cast members.

The film is scheduled to be released on March 5, 2021.
