Kyle XY was a science-fiction series that aired on ABC Family (now Freeform) between 2006 and 2009, for three seasons.
Kyle (Matt Dallas), the title character, is an amnesiac, initially infantile-like teenage boy who wakes up naked in the woods one day. He is taken home by a social worker, Nicole Trager (Marguerite MacIntyre) and stays with her family.
Over the course of the series, Kyle learns more about his true origins which are not as straightforward as a normal individual’s.

In addition to Dallas and MacIntyre, the series also starred Bruce Thomas (Legally Blonde) as Stephen Trager, Nicole’s husband and Kyle’s father figure.
April Matson (Quintuplets) and Jean-Luc Bilodeau (Baby Daddy) played Lori and Josh, Nicole and Stephen’s teenage children and Kyle’s de-facto siblings. Chris Olivero played Declan, Lori’s on-off love interest and Kyle’s close friend. Kirsten Prout appeared as Amanda Bloom, the Tragers’ neighbor and Kyle’s love interest. Future Blindspot and Thor star Jaimie Alexander starred as the mysterious Jessi from the second season onwards.

The third season ended on a cliffhanger with antagonist Michael Cassidy (Hal Ozsan) revealing to Kyle that they are genetic brothers.
As the series was cancelled and not picked up for a fourth season, the ramifications of this revelation were never explored or explained.

Regardless, with or without Kyle XY, many of the cast, both regular and recurring, have continued on with successful acting careers.
Some examples include…
Between 2009 and 2017, Marguerite MacIntyre had a recurring role as Sheriff Elizabeth Forbes on The Vampire Diaries.
Jean-Luc Bilodeau had a six season run on the sitcom Baby Daddy. Matt Dallas guest-starred in multiple episodes while Bruce Thomas appeared in one.
Jaimie Alexander has played the Asgardian Sif in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for both film and television projects. She has also starred as lead character Remi Briggs in the NBC crime drama Blindspot since 2015.
The world of Zzyzx, Latnok and no bellybuttons may be long behind them, but this cast are doing just fine.
