Toronto native Chance Orion Wood is a multi-hyphenate at just 9 years of age.

He is an actor, voice actor, dancer and martial artist, who happens to live with Cystic Fibrosis.

For those unaware, Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited condition. It can affect the lungs, liver, pancreas, kidneys and intestine.

Chance lends his talents to the new Peacock series L’il Stompers. He voices lead characters Theo and Jacob, twin dinosaurs.

He worked with a prosthetics team for a role on an upcoming HBO Max series.

His feature film project Massacre at Femur Creek is scheduled for release later this year.

Despite having Cystic Fibrosis, this has not slowed Chance down in any way. Nor has it interfered in his pursuit of his dreams.

Projects including Boogie House and Junior/Senior highlight Chance’s dance prowess. In the latter, he teaches another character how to dance and perform martial arts.

Chance appears in short films including Like Humans, Mona’s Death Party, Bloody Baby and You Have. In particular, the first three screened at the 2023 Hamilton Film Festival.

He trains with Julian LeBlanc at the LeBlanc School of Acting in Vancouver. In addition, Chance works with Jessica Clement at HamOnt Acting in Hamilton, Ontario; and the LB Acting Studio in Toronto.

Chance now also adds singing training to his expansive repertoire while his dance journey began at the age of five in hip-hop and contemporary.

He is on the competitive team for hip-hop and breakdancing.

As well as this, Chance trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Karate, especially as his parents own a martial arts school in Ontario.

He began training aged two and earned his first three NASKA Championships by the age of 3.

Altogether, Chance has six titles so far, along with an invitation to join a prestigious competition team in Chicago.

At his martial arts school, Chance is on the demonstration team and also serves as a leader to younger students.

When not on set, Chance’s interests and hobbies include singing, crafting and cats (he hopes to open a cat café where he can help homeless cats find loving homes).

He also enjoys swimming, trail biking up to 10km, gymnastics (jumping, flipping, stunts/fight choreography) and martial arts training.
