Reacher season 2 is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Lee Child’s ‘Jack Reacher’ novels serve as the show’s source material.

Alan Ritchson has reprised his role as Reacher, a former military police officer, with Maria Sten also returning as his associate Neagley.

Other than that, season 2 is a fresh slate: new characters, new story, new stakes.

Aside from Reacher, this season’s main focus is the 110th – otherwise known as the Special Investigators.

This was Reacher’s old unit back when he was active; people he recruited and therefore trusts.

Viewers have already met one member, Neagley as mentioned above.

Numbers whiz Karla Dixon (Serinda Swan) and brass-knuckle-wielding family man David O’Donnell (Shaun Sipos) also play big roles in the season.

After already writing about Ritchson’s performance as Reacher, let’s take a look at the other main actors in season 2.

Although Neagley first appeared in season 1, she arrived late in the story.

She is a main focus from the beginning of season 2; a loyal ally to Jack Reacher.

Danish actor, writer and filmmaker Maria Sten plays Neagley on Reacher.

As mentioned, the actress reprises her role in Reacher season 2.

In 2011, Sten competed in Miss Supertalent of the World and placed in the top seven candidates.

The following year, she won Miss Denmark Universe.

Sten had an uncredited role in the 2015 film Straight Outta Compton.

Before Reacher, Sten starred in the short-lived DC-inspired horror series Swamp Thing. She played Liz Tremayne, a news reporter and bartender.

In addition, Sten wrote two episodes of David E. Kelley’s crime thriller Big Sky, which aired on ABC.

Sten discussed how her and her castmates’ real-life athleticism contributes to their characters, in an interview with ScreenRant.

… We all have backgrounds in physicality. Shaun used to be a boxer, Serinda was a gymnast, I was a dancer. And I think, as for me, I was doing a lot of research in terms of the military aspect. The tactical aspect of it.

And I did, you know, ask a lot of questions from my stunt team, who are also well versed in that kind of world. We wish we could have done it all together, but I think we came at it from our own kind of research.

Serinda Swan as Karla Dixon (Reacher season 2)

Canadian actress Serinda Swan enters Reacher with a large body of work – particularly on television.

She starred in the short-lived series Breakout Kings, co-created by Reacher showrunner Nick Santora.

Fellow future Reacher stars Malcolm Goodwin (Finlay) and Domenick Lombardozzi (Russo) also had main roles on Breakout Kings.

Swan’s other guest appearances include Smallville, Supernatural, Chicago Fire and Hawaii Five-O.

She starred in the short-lived Marvel Comics series Inhumans for ABC. Swan played ‘Medusa’, the wife of Black Bolt (Anson Mount) and Queen of Atillan.

Swan played lead character Jenny Cooper CBC crime drama Coroner. She also starred as DEA agent Paige Arkin on Graceland on USA Network.

In 2022, Swan appeared in the film Devotion as actress Elizabeth Taylor.

Ironically, Reacher season 2 has a character named Tony Swan, a former comrade of Karla Dixon in the 110th.

Serinda Swan discussed the character of Karla Dixon in an interview with Fortress of Solitude.

“She’s the accountant of the group. She’s a little more buttoned up. And she’s learned to use her looks as a benefit. So, she goes in and she’s like, this is what I am going to be known for – fine – but I’m also hyper intelligent and I have a crazy skill set.”

Shaun Sipos as David O’Donnell (Reacher season 2)

Shaun Sipos had several film and TV credits to his name before getting the role of David O’Donnell.

Like his co-stars Alan Ritchson and Serinda Swan, Sipos made an appearance on Smallville. This was in a 2003 episode titled ‘Rush’; Sipos played ‘Chloe’s Boy Thing’.

He played series regular Adam Strange in another ‘Superman’ TV property, Krpyton. The short-lived series aired on Syfy for 2 seasons.

Sipos starred in another Prime Video show, Outer Range. Starring opposite Josh Brolin, he played “Luke Tillerson” in the science-fiction series.

His other regular roles include sitcom Complete Savages and The CW’s Melrose Place revival.

Sipos had a recurring role on The Vampire Diaries as Aaron Whitmore for 8 episodes.

Meanwhile, Sipos has starred in films including Final Destination 2, Rampage and Texas Chainsaw 3D.

Sipos discussed his character’s dynamic with Reacher in an interview with TVLine.

O’Donnell is somebody that challenges Reacher. Reacher has such a loyalty about him towards the members of the 110th, so he has a really hard time even entertaining the thought that [Swan] could be working for the bad guys, and certainly not on something that involves killing [the Special Investigations unit’s] members.
