Welcome Azi and thank you for taking the time to speak with us today!

Azriel Dalman (AD): You’re welcome!

Despite only being 7 years of age, your acting career is already on the rise. Who/what inspired you to enter this industry?

AD: My brother, because he did acting before me. It looked like fun and I wanted to try it. I did it…. and it was pretty fun!

You recently appeared on an episode of NBC’s series Debris. Who did you play and what did you most enjoy about working on the show?

AD: I played ‘Max’ and I really liked the food… there was a dog who just came on set, so that was really fun. Also, the people were really nice.

In 2020, you had a role in the Pixar film Soul, which starred Jamie Foxx, Tina Fey and Angela Bassett, among others. Were you a fan of Pixar beforehand?

AD: Definitely! My favourite movie is Wall-E. I love that it’s the robots, I love the robot part. Also, I love how it’s animated and the story, too.

Actors usually record voiceover work by themselves. Did you have an opportunity to meet any of your Soul castmates while working on the film?

AD: In Soul, there were a few other people and one of them I actually knew. I did [get to meet other actors] and I think actually one of them was the writer, who I did know.

It was also recently announced that you will be starring in Moonfall, alongside Halle Berry. What can you tell us about the film and your character?

AD: You’re right, I can’t say much about it. I can say that I’m very excited to see the film. I’m very excited to see my character because he really moves the plot along. It was really fun.

Regardless of age, acting is a competitive field. What advice would you give to any young aspiring actors who want to enter the industry?

AD: Do your best, you need to know how to face rejection and know how to behave.

Professionally or personally, what do you hope to accomplish in the coming months?

AD: I want to be on a Marvel [project] and a series regular. Those can be really fun, I think.

Thanks again for taking the time, Azi. Take care and stay safe!

AD: Thank you, it was nice to meet you.
