Lesa Wilson on playing ‘Bobbie Burman’ in DC’s Stargirl – Exclusive Interview
Atlanta-based actress Lesa Wilson chatted to Courageous Nerd about her recurring role as “Bobbie Burman” on Stargirl. The DC Comics-based series premiered on DC Universe and The CW in May 2020.
Season 1 of DC’s Stargirl, created by Geoff Johns, aired on The CW and DC Universe in mid-2020. Now, a number of new actors are joining the fray for the show’s sophomore run. Find out where you’ve seen the new additions for DC’s Stargirl Season 2.
Geoff Johns’ long anticipated Stargirl television series made its debut in May 2020 on DC Universe and The CW. The show’s 13-episode first season came to an end in August, leaving several questions on fans’ minds. Namely, “When will Stargirl Season 2 be on screen? Who’s coming back?”
Not all of the Season 1 characters survived until the end of the freshman run. It seems that most, if not all, of those who didn’t die will be back for Season 2. Let’s take a look at who will be waiting in Blue Valley when the show returns.
Airing throughout summer 2020, DC’s Stargirl was a huge hit for The CW and DC Universe. While many of the show’s young cast are relatively new faces, here are some of the projects that you may recognise them from.
Portrayed by Luke Wilson, mechanic Pat Dugan plays a major role DC’s Stargirl, which recently finished its 13-episode first season run on DC Universe and The CW. In the series, Pat is the stepfather to protagonist Courtney Whitmore (Brec Bassinger), who takes on the superhero identity of Stargirl. Pat is married to Courtney’s mother Barbara (Amy Smart) and has a biological son, Mike (Trae Romano). On the other hand, he is also Starman’s (Joel McHale) former sidekick Stripsey, who operates the 15-foot robot known as STRIPE in present-day Blue Valley, Nebraska.
Mike Dugan: Trae Romano talks about DC’s ‘Stargirl’, hopes for Mike’s future (Exclusive Interview)
Only 15 years of age, Trae Romano is already establishing himself as a must-see young actor. The Atlanta native currently plays series regular ‘Mike Dugan’ on the DC Universe/CW series Stargirl. The show premiered in May 2020 and follows Courtney Whitmore (Brec Bassinger) becoming the titular superheroine. Trae’s character, Mike Dugan, is the relatively new younger step-brother to Courtney.
Luke Wilson and Amy Smart star as Trae’s onscreen father and stepmother with other co-stars including Neil Jackson, Neil Hopkins and Eric Goins.
Thank you to Trae for taking the time to chat with Courageous Nerd about Mike Dugan and Stargirl.
