Several Coronation Street stars have been on I’m A Celeb over the years but have any of them gone on to win?
Over the years, past and present Coronation Street stars have become a staple on I’m A Celeb.
Now, two of the most memorable having returned for the South Africa series.
Let’s see who has swapped the Cobbles for the jungle over the past 20 years.
Sue Cleaver (2022)

Cleaver, who has played Eileen Grimshaw since 2000, took part in the most recent Australia-based series.
Joining Cleaver were Boy George, Mike Tindall, Chris Moyles and Matt Hancock, among others.
She finished 9th overall, with former England Women midfielder Jill Scott taking the crown.
Simon Gregson (2021)

Gregson debuted as Steve McDonald in 1989 although his I’m A Celeb stint is much more recent.
He competed in the 2021 series, the second consecutive outing to Gwyrch Castle in Wales.
Unfortunately, Gregson fell short at the last hurdle.
He was runner-up to Emmerdale actor Danny Miller.
Beverly Callard (2020)

Callard has played Liz McDonald on-off since 1989.
Like her on-screen son Simon Gregson, Callard had her I’m A Celeb journey in Wales.
While in camp, Callard formed a close bond with fellow contestant Jordan North.
She finished 10th, with Giovanna Fletcher winning that year.
Andy Whyment (2019)

Whyment has played Kirk Sutherland since 2000.
Possessing a humble, down to earth personality, Whyment quickly won over viewers in 2019.
He finished as runner-up to former EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa.
Whyment later returned for I’m A Celebrity… South Africa and was eliminated alongside Georgia Toffolo.
Sair Khan (2018)

Khan, who plays Alya Nazir, entered the jungle in 2018.
Other campmates that year included Nick Knowles, John Barrowman, Rita Simons and Emily Atack.
Ultimately, Khan finished 9th and Harry Redknapp won the series.
Jennie McAlpine (2017)

Nevertheless, McAlpine finished fourth with Georgia Toffolo winning.
Craig Charles (2014)

Former Red Dwarf actor Charles played cab driver Lloyd Mullaney for 10 years.
Charles entered the jungle in 2014, at the same time as Gemma Collins.
His time in the jungle was cut short, however, after receiving news of his brother’s death.
Carl Fogarty went on to win that year.
Helen Flanagan (2012)

Flanagan played Rosie Webster but developed a much different reputation after appearing on I’m A Celeb in 2012.
She was very fearful during Bushtucker Trials and found herself continually voted to do them.
Overall, Flanagan finished 7th with former EastEnders actress Charlie Brooks winning.
10 years later, Flanagan returned to the jungle in I’m A Celebrity… South Africa.
Antony Cotton (2011)

Cotton has played Sean Tully since 2003.
Arriving in the jungle 8 years later, Cotton found himself up against Mark Wright, Fatima Whitbread and McFly’s Dougie Poynter, to name a few.
In the end, Cotton ended his run in fourth place with Poynter winning.
Nigel Havers (2010)

Havers played confidence man Lewis Archer on-off from 2009-2019.
His character fell for Audrey Roberts, but Havers did not feel as strongly about jungle life.
He appeared on I’m A Celeb in 2010 but withdrew from the competition after 8 days.
Stacey Solomon, who had competed on The X–Factor just a year earlier, went on to win.
Chris Bisson (2003)

Nowadays, Chris Bisson is better known for his work on Emmerdale.
However, Bisson starred as Vikram Desai in Coronation Street from 1999-2002.
Bisson took part in series 2 of I’m A Celeb and finished in 8th place.
