West End performer Ruthie Henshall has become the second evictee from I’m A Celebrity 2020, following Sunday night’s dramatic show.

Ruthie Henshall has become the latest contestant to be eliminated from I’m A Celebrity 2020. The star of the West End, 53, (in musicals such as Cats, Chicago, Billy Elliot and She Loves Me) found herself in the bottom two with former Coronation Street star Beverley Callard in Sunday night’s show.

Making a dramatic (albeit late) entrance to the show alongside singer Russell Watson, Ruthie joined her fellow campmates on Day 4. Alongside Watson, she took part in the “Stage Fright” Bushtucker Trial and successfully won 11 meals for camp.

Shortly after her arrival at Gwyrch Castle, Ruthie took part in a challenge to ‘prank’ her fellow celebrities – with the intention being to win their luxury items on everyone’s behalf. Her other feats while on I’m A Celebrity 2020 include successfully winning Scotch Eggs in a ‘Castle Coin Challenge’ (alongside BBC Radio 1 DJ, Jordan North), as well as bagging a four-person spa day alongside Callard, singer/former EastEnders actress Jessica Plummer, and author, presenter and blogger Giovanna Fletcher.

Away from trials and challenges, Ruthie opened up about her romantic history with Prince Edward and other encounters with other members of the Royal Family (including the Queen, Princess Diana and Princess Anne) while chatting with entertainer and former EastEnders star Shane Richie.

In Ruthie’s exit interview with Ant and Dec, she revealed that her experience in the Castle had made her feel more ‘herself’, especially so on her last day in camp with the group. Furthermore, upon being asked by the hosts, Ruthie suggested incumbent camp leader Giovanna Fletcher or frequent Bushtucker Trial participant Shane Richie as possible winners of the series.
