Patricia Heaton (The Middle, Everbody Loves Raymond) and Peter Facinelli (Twilight, Nurse Jackie) are among the actors that have joined Jon Gunn’s new film, The Unbreakable Boy.

The Unbreakable Boy, a new feature film directed by Jon Gunn, announced the casting of Zachary Levi (Shazam, Tangled, Chuck) earlier this year. Now, Deadline has reported that a slew of other actors have now joined the project.

Among the additional stars onboarding the project is sitcom veteran Patricia Heaton, known for her 9-season runs on both CBS’ Everybody Loves Raymond (as Debra Barone) and ABC’s The Middle (as Frankie Heck). More recently, Heaton’s CBS sitcom Carol’s Second Act was canceled after one season.

Also joining the cast is Peter Facinelli, who played Dr. Fitch “Coop” Cooper on Showtime’s Nurse Jackie and starred as Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the successful Twilight film franchise. Since the latter series wrapped up in 2012, Facinelli has since appeared in television roles on a wide range of shows such as Glee, Supergirl, American Odyssey, SWAT and FBI.

For the leading title role, Gunn has cast 12-year-old actor Jacob Laval, who has appeared in minor television roles on both Jessica Jones and Happy!. Laval also starred opposite Winona Ryder (Stranger Things), Zoe Kazan (Ruby Sparks), Anthony Boyle (Tolkien/Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) and David Krumholtz (Numb3rs) in the miniseries The Plot Against America, which was created by David Simon and Ed Burns.

As well as Levi, other announced cast members in the Deadline report include Glen Powell (Scream Queens, Top Gun: Maverick), actress Meghann Fahy (Freeform’s The Bold Type), as well as a relative newcomer in Pilot Bunch (HBO’s The Outsider).
