by Conor O'Brien

Following the success of 2019’s After, based on Anna Todd’s book of the same name, it was announced that a sequel would be made, based on Todd’s follow-up. Titled After We Collided, the movie combines returning and new faces. Find out who is leading the film.

Anna Todd first wrote After as a fanfiction on popular site Wattpad, with male protagonist “Hardin Scott” serving as a representation for One Direction member Harry Styles. According to Cosmopolitan, Todd wrote a total of three After books on Wattpad.

Fast forward to 2019, with the first After film in production. Long time fans finally got to see Tessa Young and Hardin Scott as living, breathing human beings, as well as seeing the story play out on the big screen.

The movie’s a success. A sequel based on the next book, After We Collided, is produced and shot. Who returned from the first film? Which new cast members joined the fray? Let’s take a look at some of the big names starring in After We Collided.

Australian born actress Josephine Langford reprises her role as Tessa after appearing in the first film. The younger sister of fellow actress Katherine Langford, some of Josephine’s other projects include the 2017 horror film Wish Upon (starring Joey King) as well as television series such as Wolf Creek and Into The Dark.

Originally from Perth, Langford is reported to have started acting when she was 13 years of age.

London-born actor Hero Fiennes Tiffin reprises his role as the volatile and unpredictable Hardin Scott for the second film. He’s the nephew of acclaimed actor Ralph Fiennes and played a younger version of his uncle’s character Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

Some of Fiennes Tiffin’s other work has included films such as Bigga Than Ben, Private Peaceful and The Silencing. Television appearances include Safe and The Tunnel.

Dylan Sprouse as Trevor

Dylan Sprouse makes his series debut in After We Collided, playing the role of Trevor Matthews, Tessa’s kind, bookish and well-meaning new co-worker.

Sprouse is of course best known for his starring role as ‘Zack Martin’ on Disney Channel Original Series The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and The Suite Life on Deck. Since his six-year run as that character came to an end in 2011, Sprouse has also starred in Banana Split and Carte Blanche. Away from acting, he also co-founded All-Wise, a New York-based meadery.

Candice King as Kimberly

Candice King is another new face for the second film, portraying the role of Kimberly. The character is a personal assistant to Christian Vance, who owns the publishing company where Tessa and Trevor work. Kimberly may also be a possible love interest for Mr. Vance.

If Candice King seems familiar, it’s likely from her eight-season run as ‘Caroline Forbes’ on The CW hit drama The Vampire Diaries. Like After We Collided, the series was filmed in Atlanta, Georgia. King reprised the role of Caroline in spin-off The Originals.

Charlie Weber as Christian Vance

As for actor Charlie Weber, he recently completed a six-season run on ABC’s How To Get Away With Murder, playing Frank Delfino. He has also guest-starred on shows including CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Veronica Mars, Bones, Warehouse 13 and Charmed.
