The incident was caught on video and went viral, sparking a quick chain of action worldwide.

There have been numerous protests around the world to express outrage over what had happened. Celebrities including Drake, Kylie Jenner and Katy Perry took part in Blackout Tuesday on June 2, in another show of solidarity.

Josh Dallas plays Ben Stone on the hit NBC drama Manifest. He also took part in Blackout Tuesday. However, the actor took his outrage even further.

As shared on his Instagram story, Dallas penned an email to Minneapolis PD to “demand accountability for the racist murder of George Floyd.”

The actor, who is also known for his role as Prince Charming on Once Upon A Time, shared the following statements with his followers.

“I demand that charges be pressed against all officers involved in this heinous racist murder, including specifically Derek Chauvin and Tou Thao. They should not be allowed to keep their jobs.”

Additionally, he commented that “George Floyd would be alive today if it was not for the gross abuse of power and white supremacy exhibited by the Minneapolis Police Department.”

The Thor alum expressed his wish that all officers involved in Floyd’s murder face consequences. This would provide the family with justice and prevent similar incidents.

Dallas concluded his email by demanding that more support be provided to “community efforts and organiations outside of the police forces”.
