A long time Legends of Tomorrow cast member has left the series. Find out who by the reading this post.
The Waverider crew on Legends of Tomorrow will be one short in season six. TVLine has reported that Maisie Richardson-Sellers has departed the series.
Richardson-Sellers first joined Legends in season two as Amaya Jiwe, a member of the Justice Society of America. She played this role until season three.
However, from the fourth season, the British actress played Charlie, a shapeshifter stuck in Amaya’s form.
Charlie’s story came to an end after she decided to rejoin her punk band, The Smell, in 1970s era London.
Meanwhile, Legends showrunner Phil Klemmer discussed Richardson-Sellers’ exit with TVLine.
Klemmer said: “This was something that was well over a year in the works. We knew that [Maisie] was wanting to make her mark as a filmmaker on her own, and so that allowed us to craft a story that would, hopefully, make for a satisfying conclusion. The finale was sort of all about her. For me, it’s so bittersweet, bringing it back to that punk club and The Smell… The good thing is that people are allowed to come back and have come back.”
Legends of Tomorrow stars Caity Lotz, Dominic Purcell, Tala Ashe, Nick Zano, Jes Macallan and Matt Ryan.
The series airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on The CW.
